Flying with Red Bull Paul Bonhomme

Second day of the victory show today and we decided to stay at the airfield as they were having an open day and also flying disabled children… plus the burgers were good :-) I went flying with Paul Bonhomme (of Red Bull Air Race fame) today in Ray Hanna’s Spitfire G-ASJV :-) We went in formation with the Mustang to Santa Pod to display and then came back to do a few bits at Leicester… well - what a fantastic formation loop :-) The Teddy drop was cancelled today due to over-running of the battle (phew - I was afraid they’d throw me out too!) but Nigel and I went off to display before coming back to Leicester to do a practise display. After all that we refuelled and loaded up the Yak - it’s amazing how much you can pack into a Yak - Debs - how much stuff have you got??! We then had a great flight home - Martlesham had an open day - it looked great from the air! We then took ourselves off for a well earned Chinese after putting the Yak to bed :-) It was great to be home as I hadn’t been there since Thursday morning - great to sleep in my bed :-)
