Woke up to clearing rain … hmmm – wonder what today will bring??
Well our trip to Rougham was a bit ‘hairy’ as there was low claggy cloud in places but then there was a big ‘hole’ right over Rougham – brilliant
After a hour on the ground we had a transit to Upwood – brilliant place – old RAF base & this was a 1940s weekend with everybody dressed up – I loved it & so did Debs
Nigel & I displayed there & what a brilliant display it was too
We made friends with Nene Valley Gliding Club while we were there as we landed at their strip – we were able to show them Elmsett as it’s featured in the LOOP magazine this month - think we may have a visit from one or two of them
Another transit flight back to Rougham where we saw Uncle Dale and Andrea as they were running trial flights. I then got to fly with Team Guinot - with Nigels mate Dave Barrell - ooh those girls are lovely
Lucy and Danielle really looked after me - although they tried hard to get me to go wing walking with them… girls - I keep telling you - I’m a pilot, not a wing walker!! Mind you, I’m still coughing from the “Guinot Fog” !! ![]()
