Tenerife with FlyGlobespan!

Early alarm call today as Matt & I were flying with Captain Kemp on G-CEJO (a B737-800) – a FlyGlobespan plane to GCTS (that’s Tenerife sur Reima Sofia to you!). We took off at 07:15 & landed at 11:30 – a 41/2 hour flight – my longest one yet .. & I got a meal :-) I need to practice my landings though on these big planes – I floated on this one! Oooh it was a lovely flight & the view of Mount Teide – the Island’s volcano – most of the beaches have black sand – werid!! Matt told me it was because of Teide when it used to erupt – the only golden sand beach is because the sand was imported! Anyway I didn’t have long to explore as they had to get turned around for the return flight – hard life being an airline pilot :-) We just had time for a cup of tea then it was time to be off with a plane load of passengers at the end of their hols. Nice flight home again with a slight tailwind this time as we were home in 4hrs 15mins :-)
