Flying the Spitfire with Charlie Brown

Oooh special day today - it’s Andreas birthday - “Happy birthday to you” We’re off to Duxford for Spitfire Day - I went in YAKO with Uncle Dale and BUCA followed (well it couldn’t keep up!) with Dougal and Tomby. We met up with Nigel and Debs to watch the display. Nigel and I were lucky enough to get a ride on Sally B while it ran an engine up… while Debs got a telling off from the owner for bing inside the “Sally B private enclosure” I then met up again with Charlie Brown to display in a Spitfire this time - we flew G-MKVB - a Historic Aircraft Company mark 5 version. After our lovely display at Duxford (check out the pics!) we went to Cambridge to refuel… before returning to Duxford. We had a treat going home… I flew in JB while Andrea video’d from YAKO… ooh we got some great footage - especially “smoke on” over the city!! After all that it was home to Elmsett… and a night in my own bed after my holiday at Norwich
