Sun, sun, sun and no wind - hurray it’s the open day!! We get the Bee Seen stall up with Alice and Emily looking after it and Ben had his PS3 game out… then we went flying!! First it was the “Breakfast Patrol”… 9 aircraft came in and Debs and I spotted 2 of them - but Ole Dave Fix-it and Matie got none!! Oooh it was fur raising diving down to get people’s registrations!! Next came tug-a-plane and Debs made the job more difficult by sitting in JB!! Denny Dobson done his limbo display next… Debs got some good photo’s. Then it was time for the flour bombing and spot landing… Our bombs missed but we landed spot on and won!! Nigel and I then wowed the crowds with our display… then it was time for the Ted Devils - I was glad to be on the ground for that event… 9 parachuting teddies Finally came the Dakota and then Mustang fly-pasts… then came Debs treat - a flight in P51 Mustang Janie back to Hardwick while Nigel came to collect us in the Yak. Oooh it was wonderful - words fail us (and that’s a rarity!!) Only thing missing was a camera in the air to capture the moment!! Thanks Maurice!
