Abingdon ME108, the CAA and Denny Dobson!

Early start today to fly with Nigel & Debs in G-BXJB … great it’s ages since I’ve flown with her! We had a windy trip to Abingdon Oxfordshire for an airshow – headwind which slowed us up a bit. Nigel was on standby to do a display but wasn’t needed in the end. So I thought I’d spend another day just watching another airshow … but to my delight I got to fly in 2 new aircraft wow! My 1^st display trip was with Dave Evans (oooh CAA man so I’d better behave myself!) in a ME108 – well since I’ve done the English fighters thought it was time for the German ones! I think Dave took quite a shine to me … check out the pics!! His lovely lady Lesley also thought I was cute - well what do you expect! I then got to fly with mattie’s hero – Denny Dobson in his Extra 300 … oooh I think my head has just stopped spinning!! It was a great display but I couldn’t work out if I was upside down, inside out or back to front … unfortunately it was too windy for Denny to do his limbo pole tricks … what??!! The day was rounded off really nicely by Dale & Andrea’s stag / hen night meal … hang on – I haven’t got an invite!! Oooh forgot to say – formation with Denny on the way home!
