I fly the BBMF Spitfire!

After the trip back to Coningsby by road & an early night it was time for the main event – my 1^st Spitfire flight – wowee :-)! Al told me about this Spitfire – it first saw operation after D-day. Any way I didn’t want a history lesson, I wanted to fly!! We flew from Coningsby to Duxford in formation with another 2 Spits – oh it amazing I loved it :-). Again there was a crowd to greet us – I guess Al had made sure that all at Duxzford knew I was coming again – ooh I could get used to these receptions … why does Nigel never get them I wonder?? So now I have 35 minutes on a Spitfire!! Well that was the end of my BBMF flying for a while. I was to stay in the hotel at Duxford until Dale & Andrea can pick me up on Saturday. Well I’ve had a great week & a bit at Coningsby & also been flying on aircraft that you just can’t get to fly on – ooh how I love being a Superstar bear
