Well the talk at Anglia Flight is ‘Fly with Pudsey at your peril’!! What a flight we had, I went on a training flight with Dale & Dustin in BUCA – Dale let me fly while he took some [1] ‘in-flight’ photos … & some good ones at that :-). After some hair(bear)raising circuits the engine inspection hatch hinge broke – oooh it was scary – the hatch kept flapping up & down in my face. “I’ve got it” , shouted Dale (well he could have it as far as I was concerned!) & at 50ft he done a tight crisp 200ft circuit – oh what a bird’s eye view of the Vulcan we got!! Then he dropped it neatly onto 27 – phew glad it was him & not me! We managed to get onto Charlie 2 before the offending bits fell off! We then had to let ‘Jim Fix it’ while Dustin & Dale went for a debrief … or was it a change of briefs??! Was hoping to get a 4 hour survey flight over London, but unfortunately it got cancelled due to the weather … oh the joys of flying in the UK!! Roll on summer ….
