Well, after such an exciting week, I needed a well earned rest so I had an extended lay-in - not in a four-poster bed this time though! After that I said goodbye to the lovely Ania, and her husband Neil (also a pilot) took me to Earls Colne to meet up with Debs, Nigel and JB as the Yak was having a day at Earls Colne taking people for a spin (ha ha - literally if they want!). Debs was so pleased to see me that she wouldn’t stop hugging me - Oi stop it mum - it’s embarrassing - doesn’t do much for my street cred!! (That’s how we feel say Ben and Mattie!!). I helped Debs on the ground taking some pictures of JB - lovely smokey take-offs and fly-by’s - brilliant photo’s.
Then Mark Tokley took Debs and me for a ride in his Cessna 182 - G-OJRM - wow - what a posh plane… plenty of home comforts there! Nigel came and formated on us - oh wow what an experience - he just kept coming closer and closer - got some brill pics again. Rounded off the day with a dusk flight back to Elmsett and then a Chinese meal - mmm ![]()
