No chance of a flight in the Yak today as they’re all out at work so I went back to the photo album. There’s some great photo’s of the [1] Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and again it turns out that they regularly stop over at Norwich between airshows in the summer. I’ve just found a picture of Debs in the Hurricane… Well, anything she can do, I can do better! I’m going to ask Dale to get me a flight in it!! There’s a Lancaster at [2] East Kirkby which regularly goes for a taxi-run… quite fancy a go in a Lancaster - as long as I keep away from the bomb bay doors! Nigel is doing a display at East Kirkby later this year, so I’ll ask when we’re there. There’s also a Spitfire there which will also be displaying when we are… I’m gonna try real hard to get a ride in that (it’s a tandem - so a proper seat just for me!!)… and if they say no I’ll just have to sneak aboard - I can’t be that close to a Spitfire and not have a go…
