Sally B looks fun - 10 man crew used to fly this and it’s got six machine guns… sure I could stow away on this for a flight! Guess what? Nigel knows someone (Yak engineer/co-owner) who knows someone on the maintenance crew for Sally B. So guess I really will get to fly in this then! Not sure I fancy being in the ball turret hanging below the aircraft though!! East Anglia was home to hundreds of these B17’s throughout the war and Sally B is always given a great reception wherever she flies - so I’m looking forward to this! Wonder if I have to use my velcro cushion on all my flights, or whether the other aircraft have something else for me? Hope it’s comfortable. I wonder if I’ll get my wings after this year of flying? I know you don’t have to be a pilot to have wings on your flying suit coz Debs has them on hers and she’s not a pilot - unless she’s just showing off! Must ask Nigel about that - I quite fancy my own set of wings!
